The College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at National Taipei University (NTPU) is celebrating its 20th anniversary, coinciding with the inaugural conference of the "Advanced Technology Industry-Academia Collaboration Alliance." Provided by NTPU EECS.

WEISUN is focusing on the needs of smart manufacturing and talent development in the industry, accelerating the launch of industry-academia collaboration. To celebrate the 20th anniversary, WEISUN is sponsoring the establishment of a "Master's Program in Smart Manufacturing and System Applications" at NTPU and has been invited to join the "Advanced Technology Industry-Academia Collaboration Alliance." WEISUN aims to drive technological advancements to achieve "intelligent temperature control" in drying processes of the semiconductor industry.

Wen-Han Chen, President of WEISUN, revealed that labor shortages are a norm in the industry. In the past two years, WEISUN has engaged in collaboration with National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, National Taipei University of Technology, National Tsing Hua University, and NTPU to enhance both technology and talent. Collaborating with universities on master's programs not only helps cultivate future talent but also provides a great opportunity for their employees to upgrade their knowledge, learn new skills, and foster cross-industry exchanges that could lead to future business opportunities.

Located in Sanxia, NTPU's College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is dedicated to promoting deep collaboration between industry and academia. It introduces advanced key technologies such as AI, semiconductors, 5G communication, the Internet of Things, and cybersecurity to accelerate technological innovation and application transformation. The college also facilitates cross-disciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing, strengthens the transfer and cultivation of talent between academia and industry, and enhances the academic and industrial influence of the college.

On December 7th, NTPU EECS officially announced the establishment of the "Advanced Technology Industry-Academic Collaboration Alliance" with 18 enterprises, including WEISUN, Qisda, Elytone, Ampacs, and others. Four companies - WEISUN, MiTwell, Kinpo Group, and ABC Taiwan - will first collaborate on a two-year master's program starting February next year. The curriculum is practical and promotes cross-domain collaboration and knowledge sharing, helping students gain expertise in smart manufacturing and system applications.
